Andrew R. Menard, JD is the executive director for radiology strategy and innovation for the Johns Hopkins Health System, Inc. In this role, Menard tracks economic, political, and business trends that could affect both professional and technical radiology, and then develops strategies to grow, support, and sustain the department’s clinical care, education, and research missions. Menard previously served as Hopkins’ chief administrative officer for radiology.

On October 31, 2023, Menard was named AuntMinnie.com’s Most Effective Radiology Administrator/Manager. The annual national award, known in radiology as a “Minnie,” recognizes excellence in radiology. In 2015, Menard also received the Association of Administrators in Academic Radiology award for the advancement of the profession of radiology.

Menard joined Johns Hopkins in June of 2018 from Brigham and Women’s Hospital, where he spent over 15 years in radiology leadership, business development, strategy, and public policy. Before Brigham and Women’s Hospital, Andrew worked as a corporate attorney focused on technology transfer, the business of health care, and corporate transactions. Menard received his law degree cum laude from Harvard Law School. He studied economics at Georgetown University’s School of Foreign Service, where he received a bachelor of arts magna cum laude, was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, and was the recipient of the William F. Notz Medal for international economics.
