Emily E. Haroz is an associate professor of mental health and international health and serves as the co-director of research at the Center for Indigenous Health and as deputy director of the Center for Suicide Prevention at the Bloomberg School of Public Health. She is also affiliated with the Malone Center for Engineering in Healthcare and the Hopkins Population Center. She researches the implementation of mental health and suicide prevention programs, particularly in partnership with Indigenous communities.
Haroz’s background is in quantitative methods, advanced statistical approaches and epidemiology. She has conducted numerous studies to understand mental and behavioral health problems and programs across a wide range of diverse populations. Her current research leverages implementation science, AI, and mixed methods to address mental and behavioral health concerns and promote well-being among the American Indian and Alaska Native communities.
