Fatima Sadjadpour is a Malone Postdoctoral Fellow advised by Aly T. Strauss, James “Jim” Fackler, Kimia Ghobadi, and Martin Copenhaver. Her research focuses on developing data-driven and systems-oriented methods to improve healthcare delivery, clinical decision-making, and patient-centered care.

Sadjadpour received her PhD in industrial and systems engineering from the Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University in 2025, where her dissertation focused on enhancing screening for perinatal mood and anxiety disorders in critical and emergency Care. Her doctoral work integrated machine learning, group model building, and system dynamics simulation to study complex healthcare systems and support more effective screening, prediction, and intervention strategies. The system dynamics simulation component of her dissertation received the Early Career Health Paper Award at the 2025 System Dynamics Conference in Boston.

She also received an MS in data science from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth in 2021, an MS in industrial engineering from the Industrial Management Institute in 2017, and a BS in statistics from Shahid Beheshti University in 2013.
